Socio-Economic Development

Bram Fischer international donated 120 chairs and 60 desk towards a farm school, named Arbeidsgenot.  These were handed over to them on Friday the 24th of January 2014, the children were also spoiled with refreshments and a branded backpack.   


Arbeidsgenot Primary is situated close to Bram Fischer Airport in the Bloemspruit area. ±21 Teachers are teaching the ±800 pupils at Arbeidsgenot. The school provide education for pupils from Grade R – Grade 7.  The school do not receive any school fees from the parents; they do receive a minimal amount from the government.  The children are very keen to learn and they are very dedicated - On average the children walk up to 6 km per day to attend school. 


During the winter of 2013, the children were thought how to knit gloves.  Wool and knitting pens were donated to the school and the learners knitted themselves a pair of gloves to keep their hands warm during the winter. On a daily basis the school serve the children with one meal, this meal will in some instances be the only meal they have for a whole day.

In the 18 July 2014, the staff of Bram Fischer International Airport, visited the children's ward at Pelonomi Hospital.  During our visit we spent some time with the children and decorated their rooms.  We were rewarded with their smiles and a lot of singing and dancing. 


During this visit we also donated the following items to the hospital:

  • ​40 X standard pillows
  • ​110 x fitted sheets
  • ​60 x comforters
  • ​2 x Dvd players

  • ​Toys for the play rooms
