Johannesburg, 27 September 2007: Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) today confirmed that it was giving its full support to the upcoming Airports Industry Showcase that takes place, from 31 October to 2 November 2007 at the Sandton Convention Centre.
The scheduled resurfacing of the main runway at Cape Town International Airport (CTIA) was completed on 31 May 2007. The project, which began in November 2006, took seven months to complete.
Operations at O.R. Tambo International Airport are back to normal following a surprise decision by a number of immigration officials, employed by the Department of Home Affairs, not to show up for duty early this morning.
In less than a few days O.R. Tambo International Airport (ORTIA) will play host to the world’s largest commercial aircraft, the A380, when it touches down at the airport this coming Sunday, 26 November at around 8am.
