Acting Group Executive: Operations Management - Ms. Azwifaneli “Fani” Mphaphuli
 
 

Ms. Azwifaneli “Fani” Mphaphuli brings with her over 18 years of experience in the aviation industry, with extensive expertise in airport operations, industrial engineering, client services, strategic planning, and performance management.

 

Prior to being appointed as Acting Group Executive: Operations Management, Ms. Mphaphuli served as the Group Manager: Network Planning, Service Standards, and Performance, where she led the development and execution of operational strategies across ACSA’s network of airports.

 

Her career at ACSA has included pivotal leadership roles, ranging from Assistant General Manager: Client and Passenger Services and Manager: Terminal Operations at King Shaka International Airport, to Senior Manager: Corporate Affairs and Manager: Operations Coordination. She has led key initiatives, including the implementation of airport health accreditations, operational efficiency performance framework, development of network and cargo strategies, service standards platforms, and business intelligence systems, which support operational excellence.

 

Ms. Mphaphuli holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Henley Business School, a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) and a National Diploma in Industrial Engineering from the University of Johannesburg, as well as a range of executive and technical certifications, including Aviation Management and Project Management.

Known for her dynamic leadership style, Ms. Mphaphuli is passionate about driving continuous improvement, enhancing stakeholder collaboration, and embedding service excellence into all facets of airport operations.
