Biography:

A Chartered Accountant by profession, Andile started his career in auditing and financial management with Deloitte in 2002 and after his articles in 2004 he joined Investec Corporate Finance and amongst a number of transactions, advised on the merger of Growthpoint Properties with Primegro as well as Bidvest’s acquisition of McCarthy.

In June 2007, Andile joined MSG Afrika, a black-owned media and communications group with interests in radio, television production, outdoor media, advertising and communications agencies.

Over 11 years, Andile and his partner Given Mkhari built MSG Afrika to be the largest independent black-owned and managed media group in South Africa, with assets such as POWER 98.7, Capricorn FM, The Communications Firm, Jupiter Drawing Room and Quizzical Pictures. Andile has served as the Managing Director of POWER 98.7 and Chief Investment Officer and Chief Operating Officer of MSG Afrika.

Andile has also served as a member of the Financial Services Board’s Directorate of Market Abuse; a member of The Takeover Regulations Panel (TRP); a board member at The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and as the 11th President of The Association for the Advancement of Black Accountants of Southern Africa (ABASA).

In 2013, Andile founded I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR, a national programme that helps entrepreneurs grow their businesses. The programme has upskilled more than 14,000 small business owners.

In May 2018, Andile exited MSG Afrika and founded KhumaloCo, his family-owned investment firm with assets in Technology, Media and Marketing. He also serves as non- executive Chairman of investee companies Brave Group, Ince, Immersion and I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR.

Andile's other non-executive roles include serving as Chairman of the South African National Parks (SANParks) Investment Committee; a Board member of the Mentor-A- Boy-Child NPC; as well as a fellow of The Centre for African Management and Markets (CAMM) at The Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS); and Member of the SiMoDiSa Executive Committee.
