Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) is proud to announce a major global achievement, with two of its airports within the network receiving top honours in the AirHelp Score 2025 — one of the world’s most prestigious and comprehensive rankings of airport service quality.
Cape Town International Airport (CTIA) has been ranked the best airport in the world, achieving an outstanding overall score of 8.57. The airport received top marks for on-time performance (8.6) and customer experience (8.7), demonstrating a consistent and exceptional passenger offering.
This milestone cements ACSA’s position as a leader in delivering operational excellence, passenger satisfaction, and world-class infrastructure across its network.
Meanwhile, King Shaka International Airport (KSIA) in Durban proudly secured 7th place globally, with a leading global score of 8.9 for on-time performance — the highest of all 250 airports assessed.
The AirHelp Score evaluates the top 250 airports worldwide based on three key criteria:
- On-time performance (60%)
- Customer opinion (20%)
- Food and shops (20%)
The 2025 rankings are based on data gathered between 1 June 2024 and 31 May 2025, reflecting insights from over 13,500 passengers across 58 countries.
These results represent a broader success for the entire ACSA network and South Africa’s aviation sector. The AirHelp recognition reflects ACSA’s commitment to service excellence, operational innovation, and strong collaboration across the aviation value chain. The results demonstrate that the company’s strategic investments in airport operations are translating into meaningful and measurable customer experiences.
As global air travel continues to recover, accolades such as these reaffirm South Africa’s reputation as a world-class destination for tourism and investment.
