ACSA Airports Celebrate 2025 ASQ Customer Experience Awards Across Africa
Airports operated by Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) have achieved outstanding recognition at the 2025 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Customer Experience Awards, the world's leading global benchmarking system for airport passenger satisfaction. The awards are based on real-time feedback from passengers at over 400 airports in more than 110 countries, providing a robust measure of service quality and operational excellence.
The ASQ Customer Experience Awards recognise airport excellence in customer experience worldwide, shaped by the voice of passengers. Delivered annually by ACI World, this recognition is based on data collected through ASQ's globally standardised Departures and Arrivals Surveys, capturing real, in-journey passenger experiences at airports around the world.
This year, multiple ACSA airports were celebrated across a range of categories, reflecting excellence in both operational performance and passenger experience. Bram Fischer International Airport (Bloemfontein), Upington International Airport and Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport (Gqeberha) were recognised as Africa's best airports in departures among airports serving under 2 million passengers, with Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport earning accolades for having the most dedicated staff and providing the easiest journey in Africa.
Among the larger airports, Cape Town International Airport received multiple honours for departures among airports serving between 5 to 15 million passengers, as well as for offering the easiest, most enjoyable, and cleanest airport experience in Africa. King Shaka International Airport was recognised as one of the continent's most enjoyable airports. Collectively, these awards highlight the consistent and passenger-focused excellence across ACSA's network, from smaller regional hubs to the country's largest international gateways.
