Cape Town, South Africa – Cape Town International Airport (CTIA) will host a Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise (SMME) Workshop on Thursday, 7 May 2026, as part of Airports Company South Africa’s (ACSA) ongoing commitment to inclusive procurement and enterprise development.
As part of Airports Company South Africa’s (ACSA) broader R21.7 billion infrastructure investment programme over the next five years, CTIA is set to undergo transformative developments. These include major terminal expansions, critical infrastructure upgrades, and modernized passenger facilities.
The workshop serves as a strategic gateway for local entrepreneurs to gain direct insight into upcoming projects and learn how to navigate the ACSA procurement ecosystem effectively. It also highlights ACSA's commitment to supplier transformation, localization, and broad-based participation in its capital investment program.
"ACSA is committed to creating meaningful opportunities for SMMEs to contribute to the growth of the aviation sector," says Thabo Phateng, Acting Regional General Manager for CTIA. "We want to equip local businesses with the specific tools and knowledge they need to benefit from our upcoming infrastructure spend."
To ensure a level playing field, the workshop will highlight the strict governance and compliance frameworks governing these opportunities. ACSA maintains a zero-tolerance approach to fraud and corruption, ensuring all procurement remains transparent, fair and accountable.
Capacity for the SMME Supplier Workshop is limited. Individuals interested in attending are encouraged to secure their place early.
